AmResorts is pleased to take this opportunity to inform you about a new resort brand management deal that will bring Dreams® Resorts & Spas to El Macao in the Dominican Republic, Dreams® Macao Beach Punta Cana.
Upon opening in the second quarter of 2020, Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana will be the eleventh AMResorts branded property on the island, while Macao Beach becomes the fifth destination in the Dominican Republic in the AMResorts Collection.
The resort is owned by Grupo Santa Maria SA, a company known for its strong presence in the development of aquatic parks, hotels and entertainment centers in the Caribbean and Europe.
The partnership with Grupo Santa Maria will help to further expand AMResorts’ presence in the Dominican Republic with the addition of the highly marketable destination of El Macao to our branded resort portfolio. Demand for all-inclusive resorts remains strong in the Caribbean, and we are able to offer owners an incomparable advantage through our powerful distribution networks and brand management services.
The beachfront resort is the only hotel property located on the picturesque Macao Beach, labeled one of the Caribbean’s top beaches by UNESCO, which is near Punta Cana and next to the regions of Bavaro and Uvero Alto. Once complete, Dreams® Macao Beach Punta Cana will be comprised of 500 rooms and suites, all with spectacular ocean views. Guests looking for a more private experience can choose a unit within the exclusive family villa area, which will feature private swimming pools, play areas and more.
Guests will enjoy Dreams Resorts & Spa’s signature Unlimited-Luxury® vacation concept, including reservation-free dining options at six specialty restaurants, including a luxurious buffet, a French restaurant featuring a carefully curated cellar, and a Coco Café with an ice cream parlor. Guests will also be able to enjoy seven distinct bar experiences, including a swim-up bar and a sports bar concept.
On-site amenities will include three stunning pools, two of which are Infinity pools overlooking Macao Beach and the hills of Punta Cana; an on-site waterpark, Core Zone Teen’s Club, Explorer’s Club for Kids, gaming lounge, a batting cage and more.
In addition, we are pleased to announce that starting June 24, 2019 Bryan de Jesus Fernandez will serve as the new Director of Sales for the resort. Bryan comes to AMResorts with wide-ranging experience in the luxury industry including service at AMResorts branded properties both as the Sales Manager at Dreams® Punta Cana Resort & Spa and as the Director of Sales at Sunscape® Puerto Plato Dominican Republic.
