This November, H10 Hotels has begun the construction of what will be its second establishment in the Dominican Republic: Ocean El Faro. Located on the beach of Uvero Alto, 30 minutes from Punta Cana airport, the five-star establishment will have 909 rooms, of which 291 will be an adult-only area. All rooms will be equipped with all the comforts of a latest generation 5-star resort. Highlights include the Swim Up Suites, rooms open out onto the pool, the Master Suites, which include a living room and private terrace, and the Rooftop Suites, with a private terrace that contains a Jacuzzi and sun lounger.
In addition, Ocean El Faro, which will operate under the All Inclusive regime, will offer a wide range of cuisine that with a main restaurant, six themed restaurants, a Mike’s Coffee and an ice cream shop. The resort will also have a Despacio Spa Centre, a bowling alley, water park, casino, theatre, sailing centre and four meeting rooms. The most iconic element of the project’s architecture of the is a lighthouse that will crown the restaurant closest to the beach and which gives the hotel its name.
Its interior design will have a markedly colonial touch reminiscent of the old stately buildings of the country’s colonial cities. H10 Hotels is scheduled to open the hotel for the 2018-2019 winter season. This is the chain’s second resort in the Dominican Republic, where it already has the Ocean Blue & Sand, opened in 2005. With the addition of Ocean El Faro, Ocean by H10 Hotels, the brand with which H10 Hotels operates in the Caribbean, will have 8 All-Inclusive 5-star resorts in the main Caribbean destinations, with a total of 5,100 rooms.
